POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager, IS Project Services, the IS Project Manager is responsible for managing the project activities of cross-functional teams. This role is also responsible for the execution of process and project management standards and framework for the selection, evaluation, integration, workflow, testing, and implementation of Enloe's Information Systems. The IS Project Manager develops detailed project plans that account for all concerns relative to the project scope. Key responsibilities include: overseeing the development of project requirements, facilitating workflow analysis and discovery, creation and maintenance of the project scope, work plans, risks and issues, action items, project transition, and project closure. Projects assigned to this position are typically large and complex in nature. The IS Project Manager will manage multiple projects concurrently and is expected to manage issues and communications to all stakeholders in a reasonable manner. This position will collaborate with and take direction from the Manager, IS Project Services. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: - 4 years Information Services or related project management experience and Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business Services, or related healthcare field OR 5 years Information Services experience providing project management services Desired: - Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) - Working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices - Prior experience delivering project management services in a healthcare environment SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Working knowledge of Information Technology project management services and delivery, and operational best practice at an enterprise level. Ability to lead and manage complex projects using project management expertise and tools. Must have working knowledge of regulatory requirements including Joint Commission standards, HIPAA, Title 22 regulations, and Medicare Conditions of Participation. Must have knowledge of, or ability to learn, financial management and reporting, quality improvement processes, and human resources management. The incumbent must possess conflict management skills necessary to resolve conflict within and among departments and disciplines throughout the organization including the Physicians at large. The incumbent must have demonstrated experience in handling change management to lead projects and processes that may result in significant changes to work flow process for users, associates, physicians, and physicians' office staffs. Must have excellent written and communication skills. Must be able to organize in a complex and varied work environment that includes multiple complex projects, interruptions, different expectations and commitments among multiple hospital departments and physicians. Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information and handle problem resolutions in an effective manner. Must demonstrate professional judgment. Must possess excellent time management skills. Must have an understanding of servers, storage, protocols, database management, Microsoft suite of products such as project management, word processing, flowcharting, database, and electronic mail software applications.
