Job Description Overview : We are helping a multinational equipment sales, demolition, and dismantling company search for a Controller to manage the accounting operations. This position will need to be a flexible team player with willingness to do what is required to get the job done. The Controller will report to the Vice President. Responsibilities include : Prepare payroll, including state and federal payroll taxes and payroll tax reports. Understand and create financial statements, cash flow, balance sheet, income statement, and tax and cash flow projections. A/P and A/R data entry and invoice preparation. Work with multiple companies, including offshore and domestic. Understand currency exchange and have the ability to work with and translate currencies for financial statement presentation. Balance sheet account and bank reconciliations. Organize financial statements and work papers for audit. Respond to audit inquiries. Prepare job cost reports to assist the sales team in reviewing investments of certain inventory items. Develop relationships and work with banks to obtain funding. Prepare year-end tax organizers to send to CPA for owners’ individual tax preparation. Requirements include : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferred but not required. Three to five years’ experience in tax. Experience with Sub-S Corporations, IC-DISC, and repatriation issues. Solid Excel background. Knowledge of Peachtree/Sage 50 accounting software. Strong oral and written communication skills. Some travel may be required.
